Sylvestre Meinzer

Director

After working in costume and set design, Sylvestre Meinzer learned ethnology and collaborated with the Mission du Patrimoine Ethnologique ("Le cirque classique, un spectacle moderne", published by L'Harmattan).

Since her training at the Ecole des Gobelins and the Ateliers Varan, she has been making documentary films (Pour un panier de truffes for Arte in 2013; Mémoires d'un condamné released in theaters in 2017) and working on experimental photography. "Au service des nuages" and "Vues du port en bleu" were exhibited at the Musée d'Art Moderne André Malraux in Le Havre in 2013 and 2017, and more recently she exhibited at the Musée du Grand Palais as well as at LAAC, Lieu d'Art et Action Contemporaine, in 2019-2020.

At the same time, she created in 2010 an association, Les Impatients, which offers artistic workshops in closed environments (La Santé prison, EHPAD, paediatric hospital...).

Her new feature film, The yellow ways, is released in theaters 2023, November, the 15.
